Autopilot: choose what the AI may send without asking (presets, gates, trust level, and house rules)

Modified on Sat, 11 Jul at 9:33 AM

Autopilot lets you decide exactly what the AI may approve and send on its own, and what still waits for you on the Work Board. You set the posture once - by preset, by kind of work, or per sequence - and you can dial it back anytime. Everything lives in Settings > Your Account > General, in the Autopilot Center.

Start with a preset

The top of the Autopilot Center has three preset buttons:

  • Human-gated - everything waits for your review on the Work Board. The safest posture, and the right starting point for most people.
  • Hybrid - a middle ground: routine work runs on its own while more sensitive work still checks with you.
  • Fully automated - the AI approves and sends its own work across the board.

Clicking a preset writes every gate switch at once, but the switches stay individually editable afterward - change any one of them and your setup simply shows as Custom.

Fine-tune with per-gate switches

Below the presets there is one switch for each kind of work the AI does - cold outreach, Event Scout, carousels, the COO, LinkedIn posts, newsletters, broadcasts, and inbox replies. Flip a gate on and items of that kind approve and send without review; they still appear in the Work Board's "On autopilot" lane so you can always see what went out.

Two gates carry extra guardrails:

  • COO ceiling: a dollar input that caps the money and ops actions the COO may take on its own. Anything above the ceiling still comes to you.
  • Inbox reply hours: a "Business hours only" checkbox limits automatic inbox replies to 8am-8pm. Auto-sent inbox replies are also a double opt-in: the inbox reply gate here works together with the "Auto-send replies to clients" switch in your Booking Inbox settings.

Scoped autopilot: one sequence or one conversation

When you use the Work Board's Approve split button to autopilot a single conversation or a whole sequence, that grant shows up in the Autopilot Center as its own row. Each row has a Revoke button - revoke it and items from that sequence or conversation go back to waiting for your review. The "Approve + autopilot the whole sequence" option always shows a confirm dialog first, because it releases every waiting draft and lets future drafts (including for leads enrolled later) send without review.

Set your Trust Level

The Trust Level card is a three-stop selector for how independently the AI works overall, from Show me (the most hands-on) through Check with me to Run it (the most independent). Because "Run it" hands over the most control, picking it shows a confirm strip before it takes effect.

Write your house rules

The house rules box takes standing instructions in plain English - things the AI should always respect when it writes and acts for you. Type your rules (a character counter keeps you inside the limit) and click Save house rules.

Your safety nets stay on

  • Everything sent on autopilot is logged in the Work Board's "On autopilot" lane - nothing goes out invisibly.
  • Nothing sends at all while your organization is in Test mode. The go-live switch in Settings > General is the master gate over all of this.
  • Any grant can be revoked in seconds from the Autopilot Center.
