Yes. Every connected import in KM Hub is read-only and consent-first: the wizard signs in once, counts what's in your old account, shows you the price up front, and imports nothing (and charges nothing) until you click approve. Here is exactly what happens at each step.
Step 1: Sign in once
Each source's wizard asks for the login you already use in your old system:
- HoneyBook, Dubsado, 17hats - email and password.
- SMPL - your site address, username, and password.
- Zoho - a one-time Self Client connection instead of a password (see Connecting Zoho for import).
Your credentials are used once, to scan and then run the import, and they are never stored. Click Check my account (for Zoho, Connect & check my Zoho account) to start the scan.
Step 2: Review the counts and the price
The scan reads your old account and produces an estimate view with a counts grid: Contacts, Projects & events, Invoices, Quotes, Contracts, and Email templates, so you can see exactly what's there before anything moves.
Below the counts you'll see the one-time fee, shown as a range with a hard ceiling. You are charged for what actually imports, capped at that ceiling - the price can come in lower than the top of the range, but never higher.
Step 3: Approve, or walk away
Two buttons, no fine print:
- Approve & import - the migration starts.
- Cancel - nothing is imported and nothing is charged. You can come back any time.
Step 4: Watch it happen
Once approved, the wizard switches to a progress view with a per-phase progress bar for each type of data, plus a live Activity feed showing what's being brought over right now. When it finishes you get a completion card with the imported totals per data type (and if anything fails, a failure card with a retry button).
Your automations arrive paused
Any workflows or automations from your old system come over paused, waiting under Marketing > Workflows. Nothing emails your clients or fires a sequence until you've reviewed it and switched it on. Your clients won't notice the move until you want them to.
What the import never does
- It never changes or deletes anything in your old account - the connection is read-only.
- It never stores your old system's password.
- It never charges you before you've seen the counts and approved the fee.
- It never turns on an imported automation by itself.
In short: you stay in control at every step, and the point of no return is a button you click yourself.
