The New Event window is where a booking is born. Fill it in once and KM Hub can create the event, add it to your calendar, generate the invoice and timeline, and send the contract and forms to your client - all in a single pass.
Three ways to open it
- Click + New Event at the top of the Events page.
- Press Ctrl+N from anywhere in the app.
- Tap the floating + button (the quick-create FAB) and choose New Event.

Who the booking is for
Use the client picker to attach an existing client, or enter a new client's name and email right in the window - no need to create the client separately first.
The event basics
- Event Type - pick from your event type list (Wedding, Corporate, Birthday, Anniversary, Graduation, Festival, Fundraiser, and any custom types you've added). You can manage this list under Settings > Event Types.
- Date and Start Time - when the event happens.
- Venue - where it happens.
- Guest Count - how many people to expect.
- Staff, Equipment, and Package - who's working it, what gear it needs, and which of your packages the client booked.
The money fields
These five fields set up the financial side of the booking from day one:
- Deposit Amount - the upfront payment you're asking for.
- Deposit Due Date - when that deposit is due.
- Balance Due Date - when the remaining balance is due.
- Tax Rate (%) - the tax percentage applied to this booking.
- Payment Method Preference - how this client prefers to pay.
The post-create toggles: your one-pass setup
This is the part that saves the most time. Six toggles tell KM Hub what to do the moment the event is created:
- Add to Calendar - puts the booking on your calendar.
- Create Invoice - generates the invoice automatically.
- Create Event Timeline - starts a timeline for the event.
- Send Contract - sends the contract to your client.
- Send Planning Form - sends the client your planning form.
- Send Song Request Form - sends the song request form, perfect for DJs and entertainers.
Flip on the ones you want and everything fires as soon as you save. No separate trips to the invoice, contract, or forms pages.
Notes vs Internal Notes
There are two notes fields: Notes for details about the event, and Internal Notes for things only you and your team should see.
After you save
The booking appears on your Events pipeline. Click its row anytime to open the Event Detail page, where you can edit any of these fields later, record payments, send emails, and more.
