Search every email you've ever synced (and reply from the thread)

Modified on Sat, 11 Jul at 9:32 AM

When a client says "you promised us the extra hour back in March," you don't want to scroll - you want to search. The Email Search page (under Clients > Email Search) runs a full-text search across the subject and body of every email you've synced or sent from KM Hub, and lets you jump straight into the thread to reply.

Run a search

  1. Open Clients > Email Search. The page is titled Emails and shows your total email count.
  2. Type anything into the Search subject + body box - a client name, a venue, a phrase from the message. The search is true full-text, so it matches words inside the body, not just subject lines.
  3. Narrow the results with the direction filter chips: All, Inbox (inbound - mail sent to you), or Sent (outbound - mail you sent).

Open the thread and reply in place

  1. Click any search result to open its Email Thread page.
  2. The thread shows the full conversation as a message list, oldest to newest, so you can read the whole exchange end to end.
  3. Type your answer in the reply box at the bottom of the thread and send. Your reply joins the same conversation.
  4. Use Back to Emails to return to your search results.

Start a brand-new email

If what you need isn't a reply but a fresh message, click New email on the Emails page. That opens the Email Composer - a simple standalone composer with To, Subject, and Body fields and a Send button. It's the quickest way to fire off a one-off email without leaving your search.

What gets searched

  • Every email you send from KM Hub is indexed automatically and appears here.
  • Inbound mail is included once your mailbox sync is set up for your account - if you see a note that inbox sync is being set up, sent mail will appear first and incoming history follows.

When to use this instead of the Mail page

The Mail page is your day-to-day inbox: folders, compose, star, archive. Email Search is your archive detective: it cuts across all folders and all time, which makes it the faster tool when you know a phrase but not where the message lives.
