KM Hub runs in two postures. Agency mode shows the full toolset for running a roster of performers, and Solo Mode trims the interface down to what a one-person business actually needs. You can switch between them at any time, and switching never touches your data.
What Solo Mode changes
When Solo Mode is on, the agency-only tools disappear from your navigation: employees, payroll, equipment, rentals, and newsletters. If you try to open an agency-only page anyway (for example through an old link), KM Hub bounces you back to the Dashboard with a short toast explaining why. Everything else works exactly the same.
Solo Mode is fully reversible. Turning it off brings every hidden tool back, with all its data exactly where you left it.
How to switch
- Go to Settings > General. You need to be an org admin to see the toggle.
- Find the Solo Mode card and read its explanation text so you know what will be hidden.
- Flip the toggle. If your organization has more than one active member, a confirm dialog warns you first, since Solo Mode is designed for one-person operations.

The Who Are You wizard
If your organization never told KM Hub what kind of business it is, you will see a banner with a Set it up button. Clicking it opens the Who Are You wizard, a quick three-step flow:
- You - choose between the Solo and Agency cards.
- Verticals - pick the kinds of entertainment or services you offer from the multi-select cards.
- Confirm - review and click Finish.
Your answers shape the dashboard and which tools KM Hub puts front and center. The wizard is safe to re-run: finishing it again simply updates your previous answers.
Working with multiple brands
Some owners run more than one brand under a single KM Hub login. If that is you, the Brand Picker appears when you sign in and asks which brand you want to work in. Each brand is fully isolated, with its own clients, events, and settings, and each brand carries its own Solo or Agency posture. You can switch brands from the org switcher in the sidebar without signing out.
Which mode should you pick?
- Pick Solo if you are the act, you book yourself, and you do not manage other performers. You get a cleaner sidebar and dashboards tuned to a one-person business.
- Pick Agency if you book other people, run payroll or comp sheets, track shared equipment, or send newsletters. You get the full roster and operations toolset.
If you are unsure, start with Solo. The moment you add your first team member you can switch to Agency in one toggle, and nothing is lost either way.
