The Sales Pipeline board: stages, drag-and-drop, and what happens when you win

Modified on Sat, 11 Jul at 9:32 AM

The Sales Pipeline is a kanban board that shows every deal in your business as a card, organized into stage columns you control. Drag a card to move a deal forward, open it to work the lead, and when you drop it on a Won stage KM Hub turns it into a real booking for you.

Moving deals around the board

Everything on the board is drag-and-drop, and every move is saved automatically:

  • Drag a card to another column to move the deal to a new stage.
  • Drag a card up or down within its column to reorder it - the position persists.
  • Drag a column header left or right to reorder the stages themselves.

Customize your stages (admins)

Your pipeline should match how you actually sell. If you're an admin, click Customize to open the stage editor, where you can:

  • Rename any stage.
  • Recolor a stage so the board reads at a glance.
  • Reorder stages.
  • Add new stages as your process grows.
  • Set a per-stage outcome, which is how KM Hub knows which stage means a deal is won.

Deleting a stage (merge, never lose deals)

You can't accidentally orphan deals. Deleting a stage runs a merge flow:

  1. In the stage editor, choose to delete the stage.
  2. Pick a target stage from the merge picker.
  3. Every deal in the old stage is moved over to the target stage, then the old stage is removed.

Card actions: work a deal without leaving the board

Each card carries its own action menu so you can act on a deal in place:

  • Open the booking or client behind the deal.
  • Enroll in a follow-up sequence - the deal joins your default sequence, and the first drafted email lands in the Work Board (your approval queue) so you can review it before anything sends.
  • Draft a document - the AI can draft a booking confirmation, terms, a retainer, a thank-you, a review request, a referral ask, a rebooking note, or a requirements sheet, straight from the card.

What happens when you win a deal

This is the best part of the board. When you drag a deal card and drop it on a stage whose outcome is Won, KM Hub runs a win-handoff before the move is saved: it creates a real booking (or links the deal to an existing one). Your won deal doesn't just change color on a board - it becomes an actual event in your calendar and financials, with nothing to re-type.

Quick recap

  1. Open Sales Pipeline from the menu.
  2. Admins: click Customize once to name, color, and order your stages, and mark which stage means Won.
  3. Drag cards as deals progress; use the card menu to enroll follow-ups or draft documents.
  4. Drop a deal on your Won stage and let KM Hub create the booking for you.
