Tasks: track to-dos tied to bookings and clients

Modified on Sat, 11 Jul at 9:32 AM

The Tasks page keeps your working to-do list in the same place as your bookings and clients, so "call the venue about parking" lives next to the actual event it belongs to. Create a task, check it off when it's done, and search across everything when the list gets long.

Creating a task

  1. Open the Tasks page.
  2. Use the new task composer at the top of the list to type what needs doing.
  3. Tie the task to a booking or a client, so it carries its context with it. When you open the task later, you'll know exactly which event or person it's about.

Working the list

  • Status toggle - every task has its own toggle. Flip it when the work is done. The satisfying part of any to-do list, one click away.
  • Delete - remove a task that's no longer relevant.
  • Search - filter the list to find a specific task fast, which matters once you're juggling to-dos across a full season of events.

Tasks that live on a booking

You don't have to leave an event to jot down what it needs. Every booking's Event Detail page has its own to-do add box, so while you're looking at the event you can capture "confirm guest count with client" or "pack the extra speakers" right there. It's the fastest way to make sure event-specific follow-ups don't get lost.

Keeping tasks visible

Your dashboard has a To-Do widget available, so your open tasks can greet you every time you log in - no separate trip to the Tasks page needed just to remember what's next.

A workflow that works

  1. During or right after a client call, capture to-dos on the booking itself using the event's to-do box.
  2. Once a day, open the Tasks page for the full picture across all bookings and clients.
  3. Toggle off what's done, delete what's obsolete, and search for anything you half-remember.

That's the whole system: capture in context, review in one place, check off as you go.
